Taylor's journey to fame began her career on YouTube. Taylor began creating ASMR videos with her smartphone. PewDiePie included her in his video about gaming shortly when she had 50,000 subscribers, about one and a half months after posting her first video. Taylor had stopped making videos approximately two months after she had close to 100 000 users. Taylor put all of her videos on YouTube to avoid technical issues with her new hardware. After a month long break and a few months of making new videos, she started and uploaded videos again, among them the popular ASMR 10 Triggers to Help You Sleep (35 million views by August 2022). In July 2017 she uploaded another video that was viewed by millions, ASMR 20 Triggers to help you To Sleep (38 million views as of August 2022). She was in August 2017 interviewed in an interview with Shane Dawson videoand shortly after she reached 1 million viewers on YouTube. Wired UK calculated that she was earning $1,000 a daily on her YouTube Channel in February 2019.

Helfer is a native of rural Donalda, Alberta, Canada in Canada, the children of Dennis and Elaine Helfer. [2] She is born to German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent. She went to William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler. The three sisters she shares with were raised on their family's grain farm. When she was waiting in queue at the theatre, a scout for a modelling agency was able to spot Helfer.
